Medical Defense Society is a Medical Defence Organisation (MDO) focusing on supporting General Practitioners only. We were created by GPs, for GPs.

We provide our members with medico-legal assistance and indemnity 24/7, 365 days a year.

Our GP Executive Committee consists of qualified professionals from different GP sectors, and our legal partners are reputable and highly experienced in the practice of law, especially in the defence of medical malpractice claims.

We take special pride in providing comprehensive cover with excellent customer service to all of our members – be that an individual GP, or a large corporation. We understand the challenges faced by GPs in the current environment and strive to help members to avoid risk and respond efficiently and sensitively to any professional difficulties that may arise.

We provide medico-legal assistance and indemnity for:

• Individual GPs (Private and NHS – working in the UK or from overseas)
• Private GP Clinics and Corporations
• NHS Practices

Whilst our focus is on providing assistance to GPs, we include other healthcare professionals in our group/corporate covers.
