Dr Eleanor Barry

Eleanor Barry is a North London GP and DPhil student at the Nuffield Department of Primary Health Care Sciences, University of Oxford.
Ellie developed an interest in academic primary care and public health during her VTS placements. Following GP training she completed an NIHR in-practice fellowship culminating in a Public Health MSc whilst working as a GP.
Ellie is part of a diabetes prevention group in East London, whose work inspired two systematic reviews and her current PhD.
Ellie’s academic work continues to be funded by an NIHR Doctoral research fellowship and is supervised by Professor Trish Greenhalgh.
