Dr Adrian Hayter

MBBS BSc Pharmacol AKC, GP Partner, Runnymede Medical Practice, National Clinical Director for Older People and Integrated Person Centred Care, NHS England and NHS Improvement

Adrian reads a Pharmacology degree at Kings College London before starting Medicine at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel. He decided to pursue a career in General Practice and continues to work clinical sessions to this day and visits a care home each week.

He became a board member of the Windsor and Ascot Primary Care Group in 1999 and took on a lead role for Older People’s Services, developing local falls services and working with the local authority on an Older People’s Partnership Board. Past roles include Medical Director for East Berkshire Out of Hours, Locality lead in Berkshire East PCT, Clinical Chair for Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead CCG and NHS Clinical Commissioners regional representative. He remains involved in the Frimley Leadership and Improvement Academy as an executive board member and is one of the cofounders for the Frimley 2020 ICS leadership development programme in addition to providing Clinical Support to the Connected Care and Population Health management teams.

In October 2019 he was appointed National Clinical Director for Older People and Integrated Person Centered Care, NHS England & NHS Improvement and in 2021 became an Associate Non Executive Director for Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.
