Independent Nurse Consultant and Advisory Board Member, Nursing in Practice

> Established the original nursing publication 20 years ago and remains a member of the Nursing in Practice Advisory Board, supporting national conferences, the journal, a lively website and the primary care annual Awards.

> Has worked as a practice nurse, community midwife, health visitor, nurse trainer and nurse adviser. Was the former Lead Nurse and Head of Clinical Quality & Risk at NHS Brighton & Hove where she was the Named Nurse for Child & Adult safeguarding. She led the development of General Practice Nursing Competencies and another for registered nurses working in Nursing Homes.

> Now acts as an independent nurse consultant for quality, patient safety and nursing. Is a volunteer and clinical adviser for her local Healthwatch, the independent patient voice.

> Leaving the NHS after 40 years, she returned to help with the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020, initially working in a community hospital and currently is a vaccinator for 2 primary care hubs.
